Server down

Is the server down? Because when I start minecraft and try to log on its says no one is on, on the main screen. But when I try to join it says I've been timed out and I have perfect connection..
Please let me know

I sent a message to sxk on skype about an hour ago, all we do is wait from here. Apologies for this inconvenience but be patient and it'll be back in no time!! =)
