Snow-Golem Grefing?

Snow-Golem Grefing?

by PureBoTheBuilder » Tue Nov 22, 2011 5:23 am

Since the update, i have seen many players
spawning snow golems in deserts/forest biomes.
Covering it with snow and wondering, loitering golems.

And it looks pretty bad.
Should this form of act be counted as nature greif?
Tell me what you guys think

*some has used it for trolling too. Spawning it around players builds.
I am purely just me, but in the end we all go into the same box

I've seen people doing it just today, and it's pretty annoying. >.>
I /msged the guys who did it to clean it up and he said "no". The I said I would do it myself. ._.
He did say, "Ok, I will help about 5 seconds after that though." :)
The points is if people do this, they need to clean it up. =/ I killed all the snow golems, and got rid of like half of the snow. XD
The consumption of babies enlighten me.

It's nothing a water bucket and some torches can't fix. It's just another "be kind" thing. I'll make sure to look out and help out when i see one of these!

mattchuu, i think its a to big of a job to clean up with some water and torches...
Also, there are people making them inside buildings/homes/structures, so yeah thats not good.

If Snow-Glem "grief" gets out of hand that would be a problem, but if is minor I don't think that would a big problem, and also towns, and cities and other settlements could have a rule of no doing that on there or anywhere near it.

Edit: ok i didn't notice the spoiler on that last post, so yeah that is a problem too much snow in a non-snow biome and also doesn't look that good

meh i had to constantly clean up a 300x300 snow area for a long while, maybe that's why I don't see it a problem. Either way it's not a problem for me to just clean it up.

How about a plugin/rule where you can only spawn golems near your own buildings? They also have to be in a space where they cannot get let free into the world; so there has to be a fence or a 2-high wall around them.
