Plans for survival server?

I've been a little out of the loop since just before the whole .com / .net split thing, so forgive me if this is a woefully ignorant question ...

What is the current plan for the survival server with 1.0 out now? Is there still a plan for some kind of map reset with item rollover, or is the 1.8 map now "perm", or ... ?

There are plans for a map reset with item rollover that is currently in the works as you can imagine the item rollover will take a lot of work and not be in any way easy.
